Dear Parents

We welcome you at Saint Soldier Convent School, an institution that promotes meaningful and joyful learning, a school where we focus on complete development of our students by involving them in both scholastic and co-scholastic activities as suggested by CBSE. I am sure this will help our children to realize, understand & explore their talents.

For this new session we again have set higher standards and expectations for each and every student of the school and keeping in mind our core beliefs i.e. our vision and mission to develop them as soldiers in terms of physical abilities, values, punctuality and discipline. In order to do this, the parents and the school authorities must work together to inculcate certain values in the students. “Sound mind exists in a sound body”. Let us allow our children to develop physically and mentally. We are committed for the overall growth of our students and seek your full co-operation in implementing following points:

Switch off the TV by 8:00 p.m. No programme shown is more important than your child.
Take time to check your child’s school diary and help him/her complete his/her homework.
Check their performance in all subjects on a daily basis. Pay more attention to the particular subject in which they are not doing well.
Make them cultivate a habit to rise early. Make them practice meditation.
If the family attends a function which goes late night, let the children take rest the next day.
Avoid taking the children to late night parties as much as possible.
Help them acquire a love for plants and to care for the environment.
Read to them various stories of value at their time of sleep.
Take them on a vacation during the holidays, this helps them learn observe and adapt.
Identify their special interest and inherent talent and help them in further honing these skills. This will make their life more joyful.
On Sunday’s and special days, make some food which is their favourite and ask for their help in preparing it.
Children are very inquisitive. Try to answer their queries always. If you do not know an answer tell them politely but do not snub them.
Inculcate in them a habit of self dependence in all walks of life.
Do not allow excessive use of mobile phone.
Make them help in household chores. It shows them dignity of labour.
The most important is to make them acquire good values, so that they become good and successful human beings. We should help them make their lives better through the wisdom of our experiences.
